Luxury winter couples yoga and fishing retreat in Noosa hinterland with former Queensland cricketer and 2018 MasterChef runner up.

Outside Edge Adventure’s, led by former Queensland Cricketer turned fishing guru, Nathan Reardon is joining up with 2018 Australian MasterChef runner up and seafood chef extraordinaire, Brisbane’s Ben Borsht to launch its first luxury couples retreat.

From 25-28 July this year, up to six couples will enjoy a complete luxury escape, staying at the state-of-the-art, The Farmhouse β€“ Eumundi, with guided fishing tours around the Noosa river regions by Reardon, topped off with golf and yoga – and private chef-quality meals prepared by Borsht.

After seeing the demand for holidays to cater for men’s and women’s varying interests – something he knows all too well for his own family – Reardon launched the company’s unique couple’s package.

β€œI love holidaying with my wife – it’s an amazing way to connect, which is particularly important as our family, work and life demands increase. But the way we want to spend our holiday looks very different,” Reardon said.

β€œShe likes to relax. I hate to relax. She loves getting massages and relaxing by the pool. I’ll do anything to avoid it – hunting out where I can drop a line and play a round of golf.

β€œSo, we’re always seeking holiday options to keep me entertained and her relaxed, while ensuring we find plenty of time to also spend as a couple – whether it’s over an incredible fresh cooked meal from that day’s catch or enjoying a swim, walk or an entire night’s sleep without baby interruptions.”

It’s the second couple’s retreat Outside Edge Adventures has run – with it’s first one in New Zealand last October where four couples joined in the luxury escape.

β€œTwo years ago, I spoke with a guy at a corporate golf game who shared the same passion for fishing adventures as me, but every trip was filled with angst from both him and his wife whenever he went on one. And I knew that feeling well.

β€œIt’s when I decided to create a premium holiday package for couples just like us. In October 2018, our first one-of-a-kind luxury couples’ retreat of yoga, fishing and golfing adventures, came to life with four couples joining us in the beautiful Coromandel Peninsular of New Zealand.”

Reardon partnered with the best in the business to lead it – Borsht as the private personal chef and Patty Perlman. Reardon guided the other halves in three days of adventure fishing, exploring the beautiful waterways of the Coromandel.

β€œAfter a day doing what each half loved, we would all meet back at the stunning luxury bungalow in the small village of Whitianga, and enjoyed chef quality dinners – Kingfish sashimi, scallops and whole-baked Snapper to name a few,” Reardon said.

β€œPaired with premium New Zealand wine and other premium local produce and dined by the fireplace each night – it was unsurprisingly the highlight for the guests.”

For the Noosa holiday, couples will stay at the coveted The Farmhouse β€“ Eumundi, a stunning Queenslander homestead, overlooking 26 private acres and hills of the Glasshouse mountains.

It will also include premium cuisine planned by fishing chef extraordinaire Borsht, yoga, a curated hands-on arts experience by Artisan Escapes – including an immersive workshop with a local artist and designer to celebrate eco-wearable art and food – as well as hikes and brewery tours as couples.

And with only 20 minutes from the centre of Hastings Street, there will be ample time for shopping and relaxing on Noosa Main beach.β€œIt’s a great way to recharge the batteries mid-way through the year, escape the cold, reconnect as couples, while enjoying passions everyone loves.”
